Cialis is the brand name for tadalafil, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction. It is similar to and Levitra. Under the brand name Adcirca, tadalafil is used for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Cialis increases blood flow to the penis, and this enables a man to achieve an erection. It does not lead to sexual arousal. It should be used with caution, and only under medical supervision.
Tadalafil was approved by the United States (U.S.) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2003 for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). It is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition in which the prostate gland becomes enlarged, causing problems with urination.
Tadalafill is an oral selective PDE5 inhibitor indicated for the treatment of erection dysfunction. The average of effective time is 16 minutes. A high-pressure liquid chromatography-diode array detection and multi-mode ionization tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-DAD-MMI-MS/MS) method was used to identify amino-tadalafil and rimonabant in electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) cartridges. Amino-tadalafil is a drug analogue of the commercially approved Cialis™ (i.e. tadalafil). Rimonabant is a drug that was, at one time, approved for weight loss in Europe (although approval has been retracted), but not in the United States. In addition, poor quality control over the e-cigarette products analyzed here is shown by the presence of nicotine in products labeled as containing no nicotine or by the presence of significant amounts of rimonabant oxidative degradant in e-cigarette products containing rimonabant. Identification was accomplished by comparing the retention time of relevant peaks in the sample with those of standard compounds, in addition to comparison of the UV spectra, mass spectra and/or product ion mass spectra.
Tadalafil belongs to the class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PED5 Inhibitor). The treatment of ED is the drug’s primary purpose with the treatment of BPH being a secondary benefit discovered years after the drug was released. Cialis (name brand) as well as any generic brand of Tadalafil carries an active half-life of approximately 18 hours. The penile arteries are relaxed and nitric oxide is released via the nerves to the endothelial cells into the penis. This action promotes the synthesis of cGMP thereby resulting in a fuller, stronger and longer lasting erection. Those who suffer from ED may do so in a way that prevents them from obtaining an erection or they may be able to obtain one but unable to maintain it due to poor penile blood flow. Cialis will remedy such blood flow issues.
The effects of Cialis (positive effects) are very straightforward and primarily surround ED treatment. ED can be caused by the lack of blood flow into the penis, which Cialis can remedy. However, ED can also be caused by a low libido, which is more commonly due to improper hormone levels in the body, most commonly low testosterone.
